Your Right to a Good Faith Estimate

Under the No Surprises Act, you have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate (GFE) explaining the expected costs of your mental health care if you are not using insurance (self-pay or uninsured).

At Cerebrum Exploration Counseling, we value transparency and want you to feel fully informed about the financial aspect of your care.

What You Can Expect

  • You will receive a written estimate of expected fees before your first appointment.

  • The estimate may include services such as:

    • Initial intake/assessment

    • Individual therapy sessions

    • Couples or family therapy sessions (if applicable)

    • Any additional agreed-upon services

  • Estimates are based on the information known at the time of scheduling. They may change if your treatment plan changes or if additional services are requested.

  • The Good Faith Estimate is not a bill. The final cost may be higher or lower depending on your actual treatment needs.

Important Information

  • If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you may dispute the charges.

  • For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises.
